The Portal provides a simplistic platform for Managers to manage their Team's Timesheet Requests. Managers are required to log into the portal using their E-Mail address. Once logged in, they shall be able to see the dashboard home page.
Managers can view the Timesheet Requests that are created by their team members by navigation to Management > My Team from left navigator.
Once in the "My Team" section, the manager can see a list of their team members. They can select a specific team member whose timesheet they want to review or take action on.
After selecting a team member, the manager is presented with a page that contains sections for different aspects of that team member's timesheet management, such as "Timesheet" and "Timecard."
Within the "Timesheet" section, the manager can view all the timesheets of the selected team member. Each timesheet likely contains details such as the date range, tasks performed, hours worked, etc.
The manager can then see individual timecards within the timesheet to see detailed information about each task or activity logged by the team member. The manager may have the ability to take actions on these timecards, such as approving or rejecting them. If the timecards require approval, the manager can take appropriate actions, such as approving or rejecting them.
Click on the hours circle to view more information. Check the checkboxes to either Approve or Reject. |
Upon selecting the approval action for a timecard, a confirmation popup appears with a "Yes" or "No" button for the approver to confirm their decision. If "Yes" is selected, the timecard is approved. If "No" is selected, the approval action is canceled.
When the rejection action is chosen for a timecard, a confirmation popup is displayed, requiring the approver to provide mandatory notes explaining the reason for the rejection. The popup includes fields for entering these notes along with "Reject" and "Cancel" buttons. Clicking "Reject" finalizes the rejection with the provided notes, while clicking "Cancel" aborts the rejection action.
Project Managers can view the Timecard Requests. Navigation to Management >Timecard from left navigator.
Project managers can only see the timecards that are specifically assigned to them for action. These timecards are likely associated with projects or tasks for which the project manager is responsible.
The timecard management interface allows Project Managers to perform the following actions:
Select the week: Project Managers can choose the week for which they want to review timecards. Timecards are categorized into three tabs based on their status:
Based on the selected week, the data relevant to that period will populate within each tab, displaying the necessary details of each timecard.
Project Managers can filter timecards based on whether the user is full-time or part-time, allowing for more focused review and management.
Project Managers can take actions(Approve/Reject) on timecards within the interface as follows:
Review and Approve: Project Managers can review the details of timecards under the "Pending" tab and choose to approve them if they are accurate.
Review and Reject: If a timecard requires corrections or adjustments, Project Managers can reject it, providing mandatory notes explaining the reason for rejection.
