Asset Category

An asset category is a way to categorize an asset and its related information, such as the vendor, type, cost, location and more. Asset categories can be used as a way to organize assets in your CMDB.

Each Asset is classified depending on its category. For example, all of your PCs and laptops may be assigned to the Asset Category "Electronic Equipment."

CI Class	Master Association
Asset Class	Grouping of Items
Asset Type	Specific Class of Asset


	Required Fields: Name, CI Class, Asset Class, Asset Type
