Security Roles
System Administrator
The System Administrator has complete control over the environment and can add or remove users from other Security Roles.
Hardware Auditor Security Role
This security roles depicts that a user with this role can conduct an inspection about the company assets like financial information etc.
The user having Hardware Auditor Role will be able to edit any asset record and update the “Last Audited Status” field to “Completed” once the audit is completed.
It should be noted that individuals lacking the Hardware Auditor Role will be unable to perform any alterations to the asset record in the event that the Last Audited Status is set as "In Progress." |
ITAM Manager
This particular security role gives the user privileges necessary to carry out create, read, and write operations on all entities which were specifically designed for Asset Management.
The role enables users to have restricted access to CMDB Classes records with read-only permissions. It restricts the user from making any unauthorized updates to the records of other ITSM process like Incident, Change or Problem etc.
Hierarchal Security
Hierarchal Security is implemented in Asset Management. The Users will only be able to see data belonging to their and child’s Business Unit to enhance the security of the tool.
