A service request is an official request made by employees for the provision of a specific service. The approval or denial of such requests is determined based on factors such as budget, necessity, and urgency.
At the request level following are the processes:
The first process involves checking the total price of the request. If the total price is below the predefined threshold set in the system properties, the request is automatically approved at the request level.
If the total price of the request exceeds the threshold, the request will be subject to approvals. The approvers for such requests are defined in the "Request Level Approvers" entity based on the price of the request.
If the total price of the request is $1300 or less, it will be submitted to the requestor's manager for approval. However, if the price exceeds $1300, the request will follow a two-level approval process.
In this process, the request is first approved by the manager. Once the manager approves the request, it proceeds to the next level of approval, which is the director. After the request is approved at each level, it will be further processed at the requested item level.
When the Request is Approved, All the Requested items run according to the Process defined in Item Workflow Configuration.
Request Approval Task: Once a request is approved, all the requested items follow the well-defined processes specified in their individual item workflow configurations and status of Approval updated.
Related Requested Items: When a request is approved, the fulfillment process begins, and all the requested items are processed according to the predefined workflow configuration for each item
Requested items will be in Pending state until the Approval is Complete at Request Level
When users submit a request at the request level that needs permission, all of the requested items are kept in a "Pending" state until the approval procedure is finished. This procedure is set up to make sure that nothing is done with the requested materials until the request has been properly approved by the necessary parties.
Request Approval Task: Approvers carefully evaluate the request, and once a decision is reached, the approval status is updated.
Related Requested Items: The "Pending" status of requested items serves as a reminder to users and administrators that the request is still being considered and that no final decisions have been made. This status persists until the request is approved or rejected, at which point the required measures are carried out in accordance with the choice.
When a Request is Rejected at a Request Level, All Requested Items are Cancelled. When a request is rejected at the request level, it means that the entire request, including all the requested items, is canceled or denied. In this scenario, none of the items within the request will be fulfilled or processed further
Request Approval Task: When a request is rejected, users are typically notified about the rejection and may receive information about the reason behind the denial.
Related Requested items: When a request is rejected at the request level, it results in the cancellation of all the requested items associated with that particular request.
